Masonry
Straight and Plumb!
When building a new home, a retaining wall, an outdoor kitchen or a new mailbox, stacking blocks one on top of the other sounds easy. It is anything but easy! With an average weight of 36 lbs, a rough and gritty surface and standard dimension of 7 5/8in. x 7 5/8in. x 15 5/8in. , piecing these blocks together to match your designs has to be done by an experienced mason. Sand and mortar need to be mixed with proper proportions and used within allowable working times. Scaffolding is typically used and needs to be set up and properly secured. Concrete saws operated safely, rebar placed properly and all of it tied together to create your desired design.
A mason without proper training and working too fast can create big problems for you project: walls that are 2” out of plumb or level, rooms in the home smaller than designed, wall curves that don’t quite curve or steps that are not uniform. Teamwork is essential to your project success. Our professionals have years of experience in Masonry work, can coordinate with your contractor or architect on details of the job and get the job completed on time and within budget.
